Flowers, leaves and fruitA terminal flower inflorescence of tiny cream flowers occur from July to September. Leaves are absent. Parts of the stem are woody and brown. Other, more terminal parts, are comprised of succulent grey-green and red bead-like segments (articles).
Growing conditionsSuitable for a saltmarsh environment in full sun. The Orange-bellied Parrot feeds on the seeds of the plant.
