Meet our new Gardens for Wildlife Coordinator

We are very pleased to welcome Sandra Nowland-Foreman as our new Gardens for Wildlife Coordinator. Sandra has recently relocated to Point Lonsdale from the Macedon Ranges.

‘Nature has been my Primary Teacher’, she says, as she talks about what she has observed and learnt from revegetation activities on her five-acre property.

Her volunteer work with the Friends of Bald Hill Reserve and as a Ranger at Hanging Rock Reserve, has given her a keen appreciation of the delicate interconnections and complexity of our ecological system, something she is keen to impart to residents in our G4W program.

Sandra’s lifelong love of birds and gardening, together with her background in community education will be a great asset to our Association.

Sandra replaces Felicity Thyer as Coordinator of our Gardens for Wildlife program. We are very grateful for Felicity’s years of volunteering as a Garden Guide, and her work as G4W Coordinator. Gardens and residents throughout the Borough have benefited greatly from her knowledge and experience from her many garden visits and helpful advice.
