Flowers, leaves and fruit | This plant is dioecious; male and female flowers occur on separate trees from March to December. Female flower is fluffy and red, while male flowers are brown. Fruit is a barrel-shaped large cone that splits to release winged seeds. Branchlets are long (to 40cm), furrowed and drooping with whorls of teeth. Bark is dark and furrowed. |
