Flowers, leaves and fruitThe globular, cream flower inflorescence occurs from July to October. Fruit is a twisted seed pod that persists on the tree for a long time. The seed hangs from the open pod on a red funicle. Foliage is a dull green phyllode that varies in shape and length.
Growing conditions Prefers deep moist soils in a full-sun or semi-shade position. But it can adapt to dry conditions. A fast-growing and long-lived tree. Suitable as a screen or windbreak. Produces excellent timber.
